Yes! The list! Waa Haa haa!!Ok, that was weird!I'm positive that if I had heard like half those songs, I'd probably like them. I am enjoying Sixpence None the Richer, though, so that knocks the number of un-knowns down. Oh, and I won't even go there with Bob.
Tell your brother( the old one) that he needs a blog! So orders the Queen!
Does M.P.3(Matt) have a blog?
To JD: cool new nick-name, yes. Blog, no.
Good list. I've not heard Jack White's version of Wayfaring Stranger, but that is one of my all time favorite songs. Natalie Merchant does an excellent version as does Johny Cash and a million others.
Running To Stand Still, U2 Excellent song. Do you realize it is about herion addiction?
Here's a question for the group, if they are still reading comments on old posts. Since there are a lot of U2 fans here what does everyone think of their transition of Joshua Tree/Rattle and Hum era to the Actung Baby album?
Yes I did know that bit about "Running". And, for my money, U2's transition to Pop, Actung Baby and Zooropa was one of much-needed sonic and thematic reinvention. Although many christians have criticized U2 for songs like "Wake Up Dead Man", I believe that these songs flow in the so-honest-it-hurts vain of the Psalms, actual chapter reference coming soon...
