I must say, I wish I was a blogger sooner. I failed in giving you my list, but I'm sure it wouldn't have changed anything or any songs. I read the list, and I noticed that I have not heard some. I was wondering if you would have them available at your humble abode (considering I will be joining you tomorrow for your eldest sibling, I don't want to post his/her name over the internet, not like it would matter or anything!)?

Thank you sooo much for that list! I thought I was going to go crazy!!! To bad 'With or Without You' wasn't first, but I think I can accept second place!

Did you ever wonder "why" these songs are popular? They appeal to us on an emotional level wouldn"t you say? What songs make us feel a certain way? Some make me smile, others make me feel like driving fast. This has sparked a curiousity within me. Knowing that music has this great affect on us, I believe that I must ponder the intention of God in creating music. After all to create means "to make something out of nothing". Just like man was created to worship God, I am guessing that music was made by God and for God. If it was made by him, then what we do with it should be "for" him? Just a thought.

that is really true. We are suposed to glorify Him in ALL wee do so that does mean listening to music! We always think well, there christian artists but that does not mean its ok. Even though if they are walking with the Lord they normaly are ok. i'm sorry i am really caring on and don't think to hard about what i say! (sorry about the spelling!)

Awesome! That is a great group of songs. I have not heard all of them, but a majority I have. Tell your "eldest sibling" I said Happy Birthday!

Wow, that's amazing! I could definitely see the Where The Streets Have No Name winning, but I was suprised about a couple things, one being that I was sure that Pride (In The Name Of Love) would score a top ten hit, and I was really suprised that Honeysuckle Breeze was there, because no one comment-voted for it. To Foolish Knight: How many people sent theirs in or gave you a physical copy instead of posting theirs? I'd be interested to know. Also, how many people in all participated in this event?

To Nathan John, yes I did make and submit a list, I am, after all, my most loyal reader and I will be posting the list shortly.

To Joel, there were eleven voters all together, three of whom submitted their votes "under the table", I had them do this because I wanted to make sure that there were still some "jokers" in the proverbial "deck".

To the last three who commented, all I can say is that life's tough. I set out to make a top ten list, not a top twenty and I thought it best to stick to the original plan; however you are welcome to hold your own vote and tally as many results as you want, but I think you'll find it's harder work than you think.

Thats ok, we will forgive you! Well, i will! i know how it feels when you are pushed into doing something.

I sure this is probably in the back of your mind already, but I think you should do a book and/or movie list too. That would be a lot of fun!!!

I agree with Joel, but I've only read a few books I guess I could submit a list of my favorite books ( even if I haven't read them ). I could do the movie one. I think it would be great fun!

Thank you for holding the vote and tallying the votes up! I certainly wouldn't like to have that job! But anyway, I appreciate it.
