From Habakkuk, Chapter Three:

Though the fig tree does not bud
and there are no grapes on the vines,
though the olive crop fails
and the fields produce no food,
though there are no sheep in the pen
and no cattle in the stalls,
yet I will rejoice in the LORD,
I will be joyful in God my Savior.

Makes me kinda glad that I don't have grapes, olives, cattle and fig trees.

Not! But what a blessing this Scripture is, thank you for posting it.

I don't have those things either. I know some Romanians that covet goats. Seriously, a wonderful scripture and a much needed reminder to keep our gaze on God and not on our circumstances. I may need that type of encouragement as I am treading through tax time. Yikes!

That helps since I can't see anything live under the growing barricades of snow up here. :-) Good for the heart especially though, winter finds me weary but I know He is always good. Thanks!

I need this verse everyday of my life. The fields are definitely not producing food right now. I really DO need God.

I also hope that the sheep come in from pasture soon. But this verse is a great encouragement in the meantime!

Hmmm...very powerful. It's great to be reminded that even when we have nothing, or we feel we don't have anything to offer, or we are just at our lowest point, still we can praise the Father. There is always still something to give thanks for, especially in our darkest moments, though at the time it's hard to see.
But he's right. (Whoever he is....who wrote this book anyway?)
Though I don't have these things, still God is good, and still I will thank Him.
