Who Wrote it?

Hey all you free-weeling fun-lovin' blog-reading people-types; your favorite blog just got a little bit more cultured! Every month (or whenever I feel like it) I will present you with a poem but will not include the author's name or the title of the poem, it will be up to you, my oh so cultured friend, to come up the missing information! Think you're up to the task? Well then, here's your first poem, have fun!

==Magical Mystery Poem #1==

maggie and milly and molly and may
went down to the beach(to play one day)

and maggie discovered a shell that sang
so sweetly she couldn't remember her troubles,and

milly befriended a stranded star
whose rays five languid fingers were;

and molly was chased by a horrible thing
which raced sideways while blowing bubbles:and

may came home with a smooth round stone
as small as a world and as large as alone.

For whatever we lose(like a you or a me)
it's always ourselves we find in the sea

Those who honesty come about the solution may post their answers however I must say that those who use reference tools without even guessing are clearly CHEATERFACES and do not deserve the virtual high five that I was going to give them!

I'm glad you like my blog though, please stop by anytime you feel like it. [insert smiley face here]

I just remember from ages past while reciting it with you. It's one of your favorite poets, and poems for that matter. But since I already knew, I'll wait a while to post my answer and let some other hopeful person figure it out.

I have no idea! I have heard (read) it before though. Are we allowed to look for it in books?

Looks like I need to clarify some rules...

But that's to much work, so for now I award Eucharisto the Foolish Knight Virtual High Five of Feel-Goodness because I know he knows the right answer, which is (of course) e. e. cummings, who is famous for being the first poet to embrace IM speak. Huzza for you, Eucharisto! Rock on! Protect the environment! You're our only hope! Don't spend all of you winnings in one place! Qplizm loves you!
