Installment Number Thirty Seven (from an unusual source)...
“Of all that is written, I love only what a person hath written with his blood. Write with blood, and thou wilt find that blood is spirit.”
Friedrich Nietzsche
That is very visible in your work! I especially appreciate the latest project you're filming...you've created an incredibly human and conflicted character...which, I think, is a lot of what it means to open a vein. To create a character that, if we are honest, is not so distant from what we are or could be if our circumstances were changed. It makes me think of Chesterton's "Father Brown" who squeezed the last drop of hypocracy from his soul so that he could say that he "committed every crime."
I actually, when I wrote the above comment, thought: But I guess I'm not really doing this in my most recent work. So that's really encouraging to me that you see that.

Hum. I like! I guess that this is what Buechner was echoing when he said that writing is the art of sitting down at a type writer and openning a vein!
Yep! And, just to note, Buechner wasn't the first to say that, though I've heard it accredited to him a couple of times.
But yeah, the though is great. It's always what I strive for.

Oh! Thank you! That's very encouraging.

Thank you, friend.
Now back to the writing trenches!
