Installment Fourteen...

“All that is not eternal is eternally out of date.”

I disagree, partly because of this passage from Matthew which seems to say that everything we do is of eternal significance;

(Jesus is talking to his disciples) “I tell you the truth, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”

So do you agree or dissagree with Lewis, Foolish Knight?!! No, actually I agree with you, and I would love to know the reference for that verse!

By the way, was your point that the things we hold onto here on earth, are lost to us in heaven, and the things which we let go and let God, we find are ours in Heaven?

Joel, the verse can be found in Matthew 18:18.
I guess what I mean is that “what we do here echoes in eternity" to borrow from Gladiator. Thank God that the blunders I make and the tying of knots when they should have loosed and the loosing of knots when they should have been tied have been washed by Christ’s blood. This is what we celebrate with the Eucharist, awfully good name for a blog by the way...
